In February of 2017, Daft Punk opened a pop up shop in West Los Angeles for a week. It featured a variety of merchandise for sale designed by the group, as well as furniture by Hervet Manufacturier.

It also displayed an archive of creative material dating back to their inception in the late 1990's.

In 2015, the artist Banksy decided it would be a good idea to open a miserable theme park modeled after the happiest place on earth at a rotting abandoned beach resort in Weston-Super-Mare.

People had the greatest time there.

In 2018, Academy Award Winning makeup affects studio StudioADI (aka Amalgamated Dynamics Inc.) opened their doors for three days to allow visitors inside their world of creature building.

Work spanning three decades from some of the best films ever made was on display.

In conjunction with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Guillermo Del Toro put on display his collection of curios, taxidermied cryptids, and a selection of relics from his films for all to see.

After a few months, the collection returned to Del Toro's private residence known as Bleak House.
